ALL NET GOLF TOURNAMENT PROCEEDS GO RIGHT BACK INTO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR KIWANIS PROJECTS TO HELP CHILDREN, INCLUDING THE CHI CHI RODRIGUEZ YOUTH ACADEMY AND FIRST TEE – CLEARWATER
A portion of every golf fee benefits the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy and First Tee – Clearwater, where students grow in character, life skills, and academics.
The Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy is a voluntary mini-school for 4th through 8th grade students who are not achieving at their grade level, have low self-esteem or have difficulty adjusting to a larger academic environment. Students learn through interactive experiences in the fields of management, marketing, retail sales, landscaping, agronomy and various other real-world business environments. Through the school’s “Shadow Program,” students, on a rotating basis, get to work with an adults in every department of the Golf Club and the Youth Foundation. The Pinellas County School system provides the teachers, the teacher assistants, support staff, student services and technology and the Foundation provides the campus facility, golf education and equipment and classroom enrichment materials.
First Tee is an international youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to kids and teens. Through after-school and in-school programs, we help shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect, and perseverance through the game of golf.
